More than C$8 billion ($5.6 billion) will go toward developing, constructing, owning and financing the campus.
The additional C$2 billion ($1.4 billion) will be used to advance EverWind's onshore wind portfolio, supporting four projects: Bear Lake, Windy Ridge, Kmtnuk and Upper Afton. These projects will add new renewable electricity generation in Nova Scotia to help meet growing industrial demand, including demand from the Point Tupper campus.
The combined project portfolio represents the largest privately funded investment in Nova Scotia history. The campus is planned to begin with an initial 95-megawatt phase in late 2027, followed by a 325-megawatt expansion targeted for 2028.
